Dr. Bridget Shemwell is the Dean of Advisement & Placement and Advising Specialist for the Division of Allied Technologies. She advises new students in the following majors:
Dr. Bridget Shemwell is a native of Osceola, AR and graduated from Osceola High School. She attended Arkansas State University and received a Bachelor's degree in Education. She taught public schools in West Tennessee for four years while obtaining a Master's degree in Counseling from the University of Tennessee at Martin. Then, she returned to the area to work as a counselor at Cotton Boll Technical Institute. She became a part of the ANC family after the merger. While working at ANC, she earned a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from ASU. She's worked at ANC since 2002 and is currently the Dean for Advisement & Placement and CTE Advising Specialist.

Darrel Carr is the Advising Specialist for the Division of Arts and Sciences. He advises new students in the following majors:
Darrel Carr is a native of Fayetteville, AR and graduated from Fayetteville High School. He attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and received two Bachelor degrees, one in English and in History. He taught in the Little Rock public school system for fifteen years and in the Osceola school system for two. He has also worked as an ANC Career Coach in the Osceola and Rivercrest High Schools. He has a Master's degree in Mental Health and Career Counseling from Walden University. Mr. Carr has been a part of the ANC family since 2010.

Jackson Neil is the Advising Specialist for the Division of Allied Health. He advises new students in the following majors:
Before taking on the role as Nursing and Allied Health Advisor, Mr. Neil was Director of Allied Health at Arkansas Northeastern College. He was born in Blytheville, AR and raised in the Missouri Boot-heel. He graduated from Cooter High School and received degrees from the University of Mississippi and Arkansas State University obtaining a certification to teach from the University of Missouri. He taught Jr. High and High School Social Studies, History and Economics before returning to school to become a Registered Nurse. He has worked in a variety of healthcare environments in a range of capacities. He holds clinical certifications in several practice areas. His clinical specialty is adolescent behavioral health. He has won several awards, but most importantly to him was the Health Care Traveler of the Year award in 2003, the Distinguished Instructor Award from Arkansas Northeastern College in 2013, the AATYC Outstanding Faculty Award in 2013 and most recently the ANISOD Excellence Award in 2014. He looks forward to working with you in planning your academic and professional future.
