The Technical Certificate in Paramedic (NRP) is awarded upon successful completion of a 12 month Paramedic program.  The Certificate of Proficiency in Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) basic course is awarded upon successful completion of the one semester EMT course.  Arkansas Northeastern College is committed to providing students the opportunity to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully pass the certifications exams offered by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician.  The EMT course and the Paramedic program are offered at the ANC Main Campus and are accredited by the Arkansas Department of Health, Section of Emergency Medical Services and Trauma Systems.  The Arkansas Northeastern College Paramedic Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Education Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP).  Refer to Paramedic Information Guidelines for Contact Information.

Admission to the EMS program is open to all students meeting selective admission criteria:  Arkansas Northeastern College operates under a nondiscriminatory policy with regard to race, color, age, religion, sex and national origin.  A thorough understanding of the curriculum, policies and standards underlying the EMS options are essential for goal-directed behavior and ultimate success in the completion of the basic EMT course or Paramedic program.
