Welcome to the Arkansas Northeastern College Medication Assistant page!

The Certificate of Proficiency is awarded upon successful completion of the Medication Assistant-Certified curriculum which includes a Medical Terminology course.  Arkansas Northeastern College's Medication Assistant program is committed to providing students the opportunity to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully pass the certification exam.  Those passing the certification exam earn the credential of Medication Assistant-Certified (MA-C).  ANC's Medication Assistant program is approved by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing and is offered at the ANC Main Campus.

MEDICATION ASSISTANT PROGRAM OUTCOMES

Admission to the Medication Assistant course is open to all students meeting admission criteria:
Students must have at least one (1) continuous year of full-time experience as a certified nursing assistant (CNA).  Refer to the MA-C Information Guidelines for admission criteria.  Arkansas Northeastern College operates under a nondiscriminatory policy with regard to race, color, age, religion, sex and national origin.  A thorough understanding of the curriculum, policies and standards underlying the Nursing Assistant program is essential for goal-directed behavior and ultimate success in the completion of the program.
