COMMUNICATIONS & HUMANITIES |

Humanities

The Communications and Humanities department is part of the Division of Arts & Sciences.  It is the largest on campus and offers general education courses.  Students that want to obtain transfer degrees will take English, Literature, History, Government, Music, Art, Speech, Psychology, and Sociology from this department.  General Education courses are part of the ACTS transfer system and will transfer seamlessly anywhere in the state.

ANC's Music Department provides a wide variety of opportunities to both music majors and non-majors alike.  We have multiple choirs available to students and community members.  Each ensemble features a unique configuration of voices and offers an exciting opportunity for singers of all levels.  Our ensembles perform throughout the year.  Learn more by visiting our Music Department.

ANC's Art Department provides students with the ability to explore art and express themselves creatively.  Students can take classes like Drawing and Printmaking.  Students have the opportunity to attend art shows, and have the work they create in local art exhibitions.

The Communications & Humanities Department offers Performing Arts Scholarships to students who have interest and potential in Art or Music.  To qualify for these performing arts scholarships, a student does not have to major in art or music, but have the talent and desire to perform throughout art exhibitions and choral concerts.  To apply for a performing arts scholarship, call 870-762-1020 ext. 1166.
