Who We Are

The Delta Bridge Project: Mississippi County is a collaboration of strategic planning for the county in hopes to make Mississippi County, Arkansas a better place for all people and businesses now and in the future!

The Delta Bridge Project implemented through a Steering Committee and Five Goal Teams in focus areas of economic development, education, housing, quality of life/health and wellness, and leadership.  The priority issues that underpin the Delta Bridge Project plan were identified in a workshop with HUD sustainable communities planning process on March 27, 2013.  Over 45 representatives from areas of Mississippi County, AR participated in the workshop held at the Osceola/South Mississippi County Chamber of Commerce.  Participates were asked to rank the most important issues for the future development of Mississippi Co, AR.  Each of the issues was assigned to one of the Delta Bridge Project Goal Teams.  The issues of highest importance identified by the workshop participants were shared with the Goal Teams and these issues formed the priorities for action targeted by each of those teams.  The goals, objectives and action steps in the Delta Bridge Project plan are intended to address the issues of greatest importance to community leaders and citizens.
