Arkansas Career Pathways along with Arkansas Northeastern College and the Department of Workforce Services goals are to help move parents forward economically through education, training, and to assist the state in meeting the goal of reducing the need for public assistance.

COUNSELING

The CPI staff serves as a mentor and provides guidance to students in their career journey.

ELIMINATING

BARRIERS

CPI provides mobile hotspots, laptops, monthly gas reimbursements, childcare assistance, and success incentives to help students achieve their educational goals.

EDUCATIONAL EXPENSE

ASSISTANCE

CPI supports various educational expenses such as tuition, textbooks, fees, course-related materials, certification fees, and other related costs.

GETTING STARTED

To become a Career Pathways Student, you must:

  • Be a current Arkansas resident

  • Be a guardian of a child under the age of 21 living in the home.  Verification of relationship and establish the age of the minor child by the following: Copy of birth certificate; Copy of baptism or other religious document; Paternity acknowledgement; Adoption paper; Latest federal tax return; Child Support Letter or Unemployment Claim Letter

  • Be income eligible and all income MUST be verified.  Less than or equal to the federal poverty limit of 130% or above the federal poverty limit of 131%, but less than 250% of the federal poverty limit.  Income guidelines: https://aspe.hhs.gov/poverty-guidelines.  Sources of evidence: Latest federal tax return and Pay slips or Check stubs.

  • Statement of Benefits form must be completed by Department of Human Services.

  • FAFSA application must be complete.

ANC's Career Pathways is a valuable program and resource for Arkansas parents with a child age 21 or under in the home who qualify.

AVAILABILITY OF SERVICES

SERVICES

Please note CPI funds will be utilized only after monies from Pell Grants and other funding sources have been exhausted.

Based on program choice and availability of funds

  • Childcare

  • Transportation Assistance

  • Tuition Assistance

  • Job Readiness Training

  • Testing Fees

  • WiFi

  • Laptops

Each Pathways student may receive up to $200 monthly in gas vouchers.  There are 2 ways a student may be able to receive gas voucher.
